PEASA Europe 2026: Powering the Next Generation of Hybrid-Electric Aircraft
Welcome to the annual workshop on Power Electronics for Aerospace Applications (PEASA), held at the Scandic Hotel in Nuremberg on 29–30 September 2026 and hosted by Fraunhofer IISB.
PEASA Europe 2026 brings together leading researchers, industry experts, practitioners, and innovators for in-depth discussions on the latest advances and challenges in the electrification of future aircraft.
The two-day program features keynote presentations, recent results from Clean Aviation projects, and specialized technical sessions, as well as an exhibition area, providing an excellent platform for exchanging expertise and establishing international professional networks.
The workshop will focus on next-generation electrical systems, including power system architectures, integrated power electronics, fuel cell systems, system resilience and protection, and certification-oriented design and testing. Additional thematic areas comprise DC power systems, advanced converter topologies and control, high-voltage systems, hydrogen-electric and all-electric propulsion, cryogenic and superconducting power electronics, novel materials, and innovative thermal management solutions.
Organised by the Technical Committee on Aerospace Power (TC11) of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), with technical sponsorship from the European Center for Power Electronics (ECPE), PEASA Europe 2026 provides a high-level forum for engineers, industry leaders, and decision-makers to review technological progress and discuss future challenges within this rapidly evolving sector.
This year, we are pleased to offer a special technical visit on 1 October to the Fraunhofer IISB in Erlangen—just a 30-minute bus ride from the conference venue.
We look forward to welcoming you to Nuremberg for a distinguished and forward-looking PEASA Europe 2026.
